HOULIHAN'S Birkenhead Sunday League Youth Division sides Vauxhall Colts and Ashville Colts fought out an exciting Cheshire Under-17 Cup semi-final this weekend, which was a credit to both teams.
Despite going a goal behind, it was Ashville Colts who won a place in the final; goals from Lewis Clarke and Luke Street bringing joy to Ashville.
FC Ellies went out in their Wirral Junior Cup semi-final; goals from Mark Higgins and Chris Moores, weren’t enough as they fell 5-2 to Sutton Melfix.
In the David Tacy Cup third-round, Birkenhead Youth B beat Bebington FC (Chris Ballard 2) 5-2, with goals from Karlin Fleckner, Anthony Povall, Michael Cotgrave, Aaron Dillon and John Wellman.

Farmer's Arms Moreton won 1-0 at Rangers Breaks with Kyle Lowe on target and AFC Houlihans beat Ellesmere Port Town 4-1 thanks to two goals from Connor Murphy and one each for Adam Hellon and Steven Kendrick.
Armchair Alliance went top of Division Three, as Liam Farrall, Rob Marrs and Ian Wigfield scored in a 3-1 win over Stanley Arms (Jim O'Toole).
