Manager 'frustrated' after Motormen throw away early lead
11:28am Monday 20th February 2012

MOTORS manger Carl Macauley was left a frustrated man as his side threw away a lead yet again leaving them in the relegation zone and two points away from safety.
After the game, Macauley said: "How many times have we started brightly and took the lead yet been pegged back in the second half?
"We need to finish teams off or we will be relegated, it's as simple as that."
Initially, Gloucester looked rusty having not played a game for the previous three Saturdays and Motors took advantage by taking the lead with just six minutes on the clock.
Scott Phelan delivered a dangerous corner which was miss-kicked by Cole Stockton however Craig Mahon was on hand to smash the ball past Lewis Carey from close range.
Vauxhall were the better side for the first 30 minutes but they were unable to build on their one goal advantage and City began to work themselves back into the game.
The home side drew level on 36 minutes after breaking quickly from a Motors corner.
Mike Green found Darren Edwards who ghosted past his markers and squared the ball for leading goalscorer Will Morford who slammed the ball past Scott Tynan for his 15th of the season.
After the interval, the home side piled on the pressure and were rewarded for their efforts on 70 minutes.
Gloucester youngster Adam Mann got what proved to be the winner when he hit a powerful shot from just outside the area which Tynan stopped but was unfortunate to spill the ball into his own net.
Gloucester could have scored more but Edwards, Matthew Lock and Morford all failed to hit the target.
Vauxhall: Tynan, Fearnehough, Ablett (Lawless 78), Horne, Jones, Phelan, Mahon, Mannix, Stockton, Wilson, Wynn.
Subs not used: Egerton, Holsgrove, Wright, Spotswood.
Attendance :303.
Motors are due to play Boston United on Tuesday.
This Saturday, February 25, Vauxhall travel to promotion chasing Gainsborough Trinity.
Motors manager Carl Macauley has drafted in left back Fraser Ablett as regular full-back Lee Dames continues to struggle with injury.
Ablett, Son of former Liverpool & Everton defender Gary Ablett, has previously played for Witton Albion, Skelmersdale United and Prescot Cables and made his debut for Motors last Saturday against Gloucester City.
