TRANMERE Rovers' fans have raised almost £1,500 for soldiers' charity Help for Heroes.
The money was raised for the Football League's official charity through a ground collection at Prenton Park before and during the Southampton game on March 6.
A cheque for £1,471.82 was presented to Help For Heroes by Tranmere Rovers' chief executive, Mick Horton, to the charity this week.
He said: “We are delighted to help such a worthy cause and thank our supporters for their generous donations."
Prior to Southampton game, which ended with a 2-1 win for Les Parry's squad, there were a number of other Help for Heroes events including pipers playing.
The teams were also led out by an Irish wolfhound, which is the mascot of the Royal Irish Regiment, and the players given a guard of honour by members of the Armed Forces.
Help for Heroes was chosen as the Football League’s official charity for the 2009-10 season following a vote on their website, www.football-league.co.uk.
Founded in 2007, the charity raises funds for members of the Armed Forces injured during the service of their country.
